Love this piece that my friend Jen sent me today.

The poster’s guide to the internet of the future
The best of blogging meets the best of social media.

The problem with dedicating content or time to platforms such as Discord or Twitter is that they're in charge.

On Discord, if a mod decides to boot you all your content is lost - forever. As if it never existed. Or if you decide to leave a Discord same thing. It's not right.

Same thing with Twitter. If Elon wakes up one day and decides that speaking out against Israel makes you antisemite, you're gone. All your tweets too. And all the time you invested.

I've never understood why anyone would put all their content on either of these platforms. But businesses and people do it all day every day. I used to do it. Strange days indeed.

POSSE (Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Everywhere) changes this. I put something on my blog, it then gets published to wherever I choose. I link to others doing the same and vice versa. This is the way.

I just saw U2 at The Sphere. Going back next week and then taking Renee in February. It's a breakthrough in live music.

Now I want to see POSSE happen. Let's make, POSSE happen.

tty next time,
