John David ("JD") Souther made a lot of great music that I grew up with and still listen to.

He wrote songs with the Eagles, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffett, Roy Orbison, and Poco. In the car, at home, at parties, or in the park, we were listening to and digging songs he wrote, sang, or played on. JD was Southern California cool, man.
I recently scored the reissue of You're Only Lonely on vinyl and CD. The record features Waddy Wachtel, Kenny Edwards, David Sanborn, Phil Everly, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, & Jackson Browne. Between them all, I dunno, at least a few hundred million record sales.
